This policy explains how Free Sound Stock collects and uses personal information when you visit freesoundstock.com, buy products, sign in to your account or contact us.

Contact

Free Sound Stock, Rachmaninowlaan 45, 5653 AS Eindhoven, Netherlands. Email: freesoundstock@outlook.com.

Information we collect and why

  • Orders and accounts: your name, email address, billing details, order history and payment status. We use these to process purchases, send confirmations, verify access to purchased sounds and provide customer support. Payment providers process the payment details needed for your chosen payment method.
  • Physical merchandise: if you order a physical product, we also use your delivery address and contact details to fulfil that order.
  • Support: the messages, order references and files you choose to send us, so we can answer your questions or resolve a problem.
  • Website usage: technical information such as your IP address, browser and device, pages visited, referral sources and interactions. Cookies and similar technologies support the cart, checkout, sign-in, security, analytics and marketing functions.
  • Marketing preferences: your consent and subscription choices. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email; order and account messages are separate.

Service providers and sharing

Shopify hosts our store and supports checkout, customer accounts, order processing, security and analytics. Payment information is processed by the provider you select at checkout, including Shopify payment services or PayPal where offered. Shopify Inbox and our email service support customer enquiries. Printful may receive the information needed to fulfil physical merchandise orders.

Our store has Google & YouTube and Google Analytics integrations for measurement and marketing. These services may receive information about website interactions and purchases according to their configuration and applicable consent requirements. See Google’s privacy policy.

Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for this store. Shopify may use information from your interactions with our store, together with interactions with Shopify and other merchants, to improve products, ad targeting and personalization. Shopify is responsible for processing information for these enhanced services and for responding to requests concerning that processing. Read Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy and use Shopify’s Privacy Portal to exercise your rights with Shopify.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, prevent fraud or protect our rights.

Download websites and other external links

Some download links open a separate file-hosting website. That website receives technical information when you visit it and applies its own privacy and cookie policies. Your purchase email address is used to verify access in our store; it is not included in the sound download links. Review the privacy information on external websites before using their services.

Cookies and your choices

Essential cookies support functions such as the cart, sign-in and checkout. Analytics and marketing technologies may also be used. Where consent is required, those technologies should operate only with the relevant consent. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although blocking essential cookies can prevent account or checkout functions from working. For information about Shopify cookies, see Shopify’s cookie policy. You can contact us to ask about or exercise your privacy choices and use the providers’ privacy controls linked above.

Legal bases and retention

Where the GDPR applies, we process information to perform our contract with you, meet legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as security and customer support, and with consent where required. We keep information for as long as needed for these purposes, including providing access to purchases, keeping required business records and handling disputes. A deletion request may be limited by legal record-keeping obligations.

International processing

Our store’s data hosting location is the European Union. Shopify and other service providers may also process information in other countries. Where required, transfers use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. See the providers’ privacy policies for details.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, request a copy, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain data sharing. Contact us at the email address above. We may need to verify your identity. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

You may complain to your local data protection authority. In the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Children and policy updates

If you believe a child has supplied personal information that should be removed, contact us. We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services, practices or legal obligations; the date above indicates the latest revision.
